FOR SALE IN THAILAND THE SOLARIS 60 SAILING YACHT – A NEW ADDITION TO THE SOLARIS RANGE

In 2020 the first Solaris 60 was launched, a model that marks the way a boat is built and conceived and will influence nautical design for the next ten years.

The Solaris 60 was born with the idea of giving life to a Mini-Maxi, that is a high performance sailing boat, with an overall length of 18.31 meters. This length allows you to participate in offshore regattas, in the Mini-Maxi class, including the main event.

Designed by Soto Acebal, the Solaris 60 is a boat capable of combining cruising comfort and racing performance. All is interpreted through a modern and elegant hull design, associated to wide and functional interiors made with materials and finishes of the highest quality. The main innovation of the Solaris 60 is the cockpit because of its full width steering wheels. You can steer the boat without the intrusion of the sprayhood. This ensure that the jib’s luff is always completely left in sight while sailing.

Compact and minimal in lines, the deckhouse is the typical distinctive feature of Solaris; it ends at the stern of the mast and is completely harmonized with the deck. To recover height, the free boards are in fact more accentuated.

The Solaris 60 has its main innovation in the cockpit, where the steering wheels are at full width. The boat steers itself outside the encumbrance of the sprayhood. This also ensures that the luff of the jib is completely free to view, in every gait. The width of the wheelhouses allows you to lower the lifelines in the stern part and raise them in correspondence with the two steps to get on the promenade. This solution is usually only used in very large boats, above 140 feet. Furthermore, the width of the wheels also in port and in maneuvering will allow the helmsman to have an unobstructed view without any impediments. Aft different seats will be available for maneuvering and steering in different sea conditions, even when seated.

Internally, a layout for classic Solaris: the galley is slightly hidden by two steps at the bow and, for the first time, two aft cabins with single or double beds, with a large window overlooking the interior of the cockpit. The bow owner’s cabin is extremely large, providing ample stowage and the possibility of a side or central bed. An eye also to the sailor’s cabin, at the bow, which includes a separate bathroom.
The tender garage, with entrance along the boat, has a minimal footprint.
