The Gulf of Thailand is a year round charter destination that is second to none. There are three major charter areas within the Gulf of Thailand with areas of interest including the Ko Chang Archipelago, Ang Thong Archipelago, Koh Samui and Pattaya.
The Gulf of Thailand is bordered by Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam. The boundary of the gulf is defined by the line from Cape Bai Bung in Southern Vietnam which is just south of the mouth of the Mekong river to the city Kota Baru on the Malaysian Coast. The northern tip of the gulf is the Bay of Bangkok at the mouth of the Chao Phraya River. In all the Gulf of Thailand yacht charter area covers roughly 320,000 km².

Gulf of Thailand
Koh Sichang – is an island located just 20 miles north of Ocean Marina and has an old seafaring history dating back many hundreds of years. The Chinese style town and cave temple are both a must to see while on your Pattaya yacht charter.
Koh Larn – Just a few nautical miles from Ocean Marina is the island of Koh Larn. This island is popular with tourists from Pattaya who like to take the daily ferries from the town with a plethora of restaurants, jet skis and boats. Great for a sunset cruise.
Koh Phai – There are three anchorages on Ko Phai and make good overnight stops for snorkeling and swimming and only 15 nm from Ocean Marina.
Koh Rin – The West coast offers excellent snorkeling along the reef and a nice beach on the eastern side of the island.
Koh Samui – One of Thailand’s largest islands and is a famous destination and very well known for its luxurious resorts and nearby full moon parties . The area is also a fantastic yacht charter destination. Koh Samui offers stunning national marine parks, exciting nightlife, beautiful landscapes and so much more.
Koh Man Wichai – Just 13 Miles from Ocean Marina is the tropical uninhabited island of Ko Man Wichai offering excellent snorkeling off the east coast and a nice little bay on the west side and makes a good day anchorage.
Koh Khram – This is an uninhabited island and part of a turtle breeding sanctuary as part of the turtle conservation program . Great day Island and beautiful snorkeling to be found over the reef .
Ko Ling – (Monkey Island) – this is beautiful little island where you can go ashore to feed the monkeys with bananas or other fruit—there are about 500 sea monkeys on the island that are friendly. Only a short 5 nm from Ocean Marina.
Koh Samet – lies approximately 60 miles southeast of Pattaya and has a multitude of resorts ranging from high end to low key bungalows on the beach. Koh Samet has some of the best beaches found in the whole country. Hat Sai Kaew (Diamond Beach), Ao Vong Duan and Ao Prao are just three of them.
Koh Chang – is the second largest island of Thailand and the largest in the Koh Chang archipelago. Koh Chang is located on the Thai east coast 310 km from Bangkok near the border to Cambodia in the Gulf of Thailand. The Koh Chang Archipelago offers some 200 nm of pristine waters with over 50 tropical islands to explore and offering many a sheltered harbor to drop the anchor.
Phuket
Phuket is located in Southern Thailand on Andaman Sea coastline. Phuket is Thailand’s largest island and is 48km in length and 21 km wide. Phuket is Thailand’s most well-known yachting destination with several famous beaches and diving destinations all within easy cruising distances. The scenery is spectacular with stunning tropical sunsets and a sparkling blue sea.
The waters of Phuket offer ideal sailing conditions for yachting all year round with many exciting charter destinations to be found. The amazing Phang Nga Bay, the Southern Islands, Krabi, Phi Phi and Similans. Phuket is a luxury yacht charter destination that offers it all.
Phang Nga Bay – Explore the towering limestone islands of Koh Phanak and Koh Hong with their many caves and “Hongs”.Phang Nga Bay is a marine national park and an area of beautiful unspoilt scenery. Visit the world famous James Bond Island or further to Koh Panyi, a fishing village built on stilts. This is one of the main attractions in the area.
Krabi – The beaches and scenery in the area are fantastic, with excellent snorkeling and diving. This area consists of a group of 7 main islands, Koh Poda, Koh Ha, Koh Si, Koh Yawabon, Koh Dor, Koh Talu, G.K. Island and Koh Yawasam. Marine life when diving in Krabi is diverse with over 200 species of fish and 80 species of coral.
Koh Phi Phi – where the filming of ‘The Beach’ was held is magical and scenic sandy lagoon surrounded by limestone cliffs. This is a must see while enjoying your Phuket yacht charter.
Koh Lanta – described as Phuket 20 years ago. Llife on Lanta is relaxed and easy going. There good beaches along the West coast and great shelter in some pretty anchorages on the East coast.. The islands to the South have great snorkeling and the “Emerald cave” on Koh Muk is a must see.
The Similan and Surin Islands – are a group of islands located 55 miles NW of Phuket and is charter destination known as one of the world’s top dive destinations.The Similan Islands Group are an archipelago of nine islands offering beautiful landscapes both above and below the water with pure white sandy beaches and tropical bush and tropical ecosystem teaming with life below the crystal blue surface.
