The Mastercraft NXT 24 is the newest NXT model, launched in July 2020. Building on the features of the other NXT models, the NXT 24 packs those into a longer, 24 foot boat with additional seating space and a massive 158 cubic inches of gear space. The objective of the NXT line of boats is to combine value with versability, and the NXT 24 is the top-end boat in the entry-level NXT series. Mastercraft has introduced the new  SurfStar System to power ultra-customizable waves behind the boat, as well a redesigned, athletic exterior and interior enhancements like full-size upholstery panels, CoolFeel vinyl fabric, and an optional rear center flip seat. With the focus on value and versatility, the NXT24 is inspired by some of the more premium features of the X and XT series, but at a more value-focused price.

ike the other boats in the NXT series, the NXT 24 has a pickle fork bow — the flattened, wider bow style instead of a more traditional V-style bow. The pickle fork bow in the NXT 24 has a floor cutout that allows for seating, or a filler cushion can be included for a flat, playpen style bow seating.  

The NXT24 has seating capacity for 16 people the most in the NXT series line. with 102 inches of width (beam) in the boat. The design of the boat is more comfortable than the prior years of the NXT series boats, with exposed fiberglass in the interior replaced with full-height upholstery panels. Mastercraft has also introduced its CoolFeel vinyl fabric for 2020, which reduces heat absorption by 30% in the fabric, making it possible to style the interior with darker colors without getting scorched while sitting on it. Bow seating either comes with a cutout to sit with your feet placed on the floor, or with a optional cushion for a flat, playpen style bow area.

The NXT24 also optionally can include a rear center reversible seat, which can be flipped for better viewing of the riders behind the boat. The seat flips over through a pull of a handle located at the base of the rear center seat. 

Drivers familiar with the other NXT series boats will feel right at home in the NXT 24 with a 4.3 inch digital display screen to the right of the steering wheel displays displays data on fuel level, speed, trim levels, water depth, water temperature and other operating info like engine temperature, oil pressure, engine hours, engine diagnostics and more. 

he other parts of the helm includes analog switches for the blower, bilge pump, and navigation/anchor lights; analog gauge dials for speed, fuel and engine temp; and analog buttons for the horn and on/off switch. To the left of the steering wheel is a digital display for the optional Klipsch audio system, and to the right is analog switches for the ballast and trim (wake shaping) tabs. 

The helm also includes a phone holder, which can optionally be outfitted with a wireless charging pad for capable devices. The helm windshield is a short, non-wraparound version which gives easier access for the driver to communicate with the rider in the water (but also doesn’t protect hats, sunglasses, or phones from falling out from the dashboard on tight turns.
