Born in Australia, my early career began in the military as a paratrooper and para-rigger with the Australian Army—an experience that instilled the qualities that laid the foundation for what would become a three-decade journey in the global marine industry, spanning charter, expedition, and luxury yacht operations.
My maritime career was launched along the east coast of Australia, navigating the pristine waters of the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. I had the privilege of sailing aboard legendary former America’s Cup yachts and captaining Ocean Maxis. These formative years were marked by hands-on seamanship and exposure to elite sailing vessels, setting the stage for more specialized roles.
I later joined great white shark research expeditions in the Southern Ocean, working alongside marine conservationists and documentary filmmakers. This chapter was a blend of adventure and supporting scientific exploration while operating in some of the planet’s most remote and challenging waters.
A move to France opened the door to the superyacht sector, where I spent the next eight years as an officer aboard some of the world’s most prestigious privately owned and commercially chartered vessels. My tenure included extensive cruising throughout the Americas, Caribbean, and Mediterranean, with multiple Atlantic crossings, as well as voyages to the North Sea and Baltic Sea. During this time, I also pursued advanced maritime qualifications, including studies toward my Master Class 3 license, further deepening my operational and navigational expertise.
In 2006, I relocated to Southeast Asia, drawn by the region’s emerging marine market and dynamic opportunities. It was here that I founded Inspire Marine, a company built on the principles of professionalism, integrity, and a passion for the sea. Today, Inspire Marine stands as a trusted name in yacht brokerage, corporate charter experiences, and full-service yacht management, serving clients across Thailand and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
